Statue of Aphrodite, Anadyomene - 360 Degree View

Greek Hellenistic, 2nd Century BC (Gift of John W. Cross 1950 to New York Museum) This Marble sculpture of Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty, was originally represented with both arms raised, either adjusting a fillet, or wringing water from her hair, as though she was just emerging from the bath or the sea. Note: 'Anadyomene' meaning hair binding+
